Xiaomi unveils SkyNomad N90 Max Studio crossover in China with sleeping space
Xiaomi has launched the SkyNomad sub-brand in China for family crossovers with an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) system. The SkyNomad N90 Max Studio version offers sleeping arrangements for four people, an electrically operated pop-up roof module and heated flooring. This was reported by InsideEVs.
Interior for travel and work
In the N90 Max Studio, the third-row seats have been replaced with a mattress. The second row is designed as a three-seat sofa with upholstery similar to that of a mattress. According to Xiaomi, it folds with one press and turns into a bed for two people measuring approximately 1.8 m long and 1.2 m wide. The sofa is split 60/40, allowing one part to remain a seat.
An electrically operated pop-up tent in the roof makes it possible to stand inside the cabin. It can be separated from the main part of the cabin and used as an upper sleeping area. According to InsideEVs, its size may be sufficient for two more people.

The floor has a wood texture and heating as standard equipment. The central display in the second row can be removed and used as a remote control for vehicle functions. One of the interior windows has been replaced with storage compartments with a total volume of 20 liters; the door of one compartment has a mirror with ring lighting.
Price and powertrain
An optional table that mounts in the central cupholders is offered for the vehicle, along with power outlets and a cooled compartment. The two-row SkyNomad N70 in China costs from 209,900 yuan, or about $31,200. The N90 Max Studio starts at 299,900 yuan, which is approximately $44,600.
Most SkyNomad models are equipped with a 76 kWh battery, a 281 hp front electric motor and a 134 hp rear motor. A 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is used to charge the battery and extend the range. Xiaomi claims a range of up to 1,059 miles in combined mode and up to 310 miles on electric power alone under the Chinese CLTC cycle. The company has not announced plans to export the SkyNomad series outside China.
