Audi hopes to boost sales in the U.S. with its updated SUVs
Audi in the U.S. hopes to boost sales with its refreshed SUV lineup after two years of weak results. According to Motor1, Audi of America President Vito Paladino believes that new and updated models could give the brand a significant boost. The publication cites Automotive News regarding this assessment.
One of Audi’s key models is the Q5—the brand’s best-selling SUV, which was redesigned in 2025. Shortly after that, the more compact Q3 was introduced. In the larger segments, the company plans to strengthen its lineup with the updated Q7 and the new Q9.
The Q9 was developed with the U.S. market in mind. It is a full-size premium SUV with three rows of seats, two powertrain options, and advanced technology. Motor1 notes that even the base version of the model features large displays, an audio system, and a panoramic roof.

At the same time, Audi will have to compete with other premium automakers. BMW maintains a strong position in the U.S. luxury car market, Mercedes-Benz is aiming for annual sales growth, and Genesis is preparing new models with prices that could intensify competition in the segment.
Motor1 also notes that Audi lacks a broad portfolio of hybrid models. The company is working to expand its hybrid offerings, but no specific timeline for their market launch has been announced yet.
