Hot Wheels to release collectible Porsche 959 for Red Line Club members — Motor1

Hot Wheels will release a 1989 Porsche 959 model as the second Red Line Club Selections release of 2026. Club members chose this car in a vote for a new collectible model and also selected a purple Spectraflame finish for it.

Voting results

The Porsche 959 received 41.74% of the votes in the model selection round. Other candidates included the Custom Corvette, 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor, Custom T-Bird, Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, and 1964 Mercedes-Benz 600.

The Porsche 959 casting was created by Brandon Vetuski in 2023. The color was selected separately: Spectraflame purple defeated three other proposed options. The model has item number JLX18.
