Jeep has opened orders for the 2027 Cherokee Trailhawk, with a starting price of $44,625 including the destination charge. The off-road version of the compact SUV received a two-speed transfer case, rear axle lock, increased ground clearance, and all-terrain tires. This was reported by Motor1.

Off-road equipment

The Trailhawk version is equipped with the Jeep Active Drive II all-wheel-drive system with Lock Mode and five drive modes: Auto, Sport, Snow, Sand/Mud, and Rock. The model's ground clearance is 9 inches, or about 23 cm. The approach, breakover, and departure angles are rated at 28.8, 21.9, and 31.8 degrees, respectively.

According to Jeep, the vehicle can ford water obstacles up to 24 inches deep. Steel skid plates protect the front axle, wiring, and fuel tank, while the hybrid battery has additional protection. The suspension received separate spring and damper tuning, as well as increased ground clearance. The company also says these changes raise the Ramp Travel Index by 45 points compared with other Cherokee versions.
