InsideEVs compared the Subaru Trailseeker to the Toyota bZ Woodland
The Subaru Trailseeker electric crossover is nearly identical to its sibling, the Toyota bZ Woodland, in terms of its technical foundation, but it has a few differences that were highlighted in a video by The Car Care Nut Reviews and an article by InsideEVs.
Both models are equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain with a combined output of 375 k.s. They also feature 67 kWh batteries and a claimed maximum range of about 280 miles. The cars differ in body styling but are mechanically nearly identical and are produced on the same assembly lines.
The mechanic in the video noted the Trailseeker’s familiar design. The electric crossover has a standard key fob, a start button, and traditional controls. One of the two cooling circuits uses the same coolant that Toyota uses in its gasoline and hybrid vehicles.

The InsideEVs author specifically noted the shape of the Subaru’s steering wheel. In his assessment, the upper part of the Toyota bZ Woodland’s steering wheel rim may overlap the instrument panel. In the Trailseeker, the upper part of the steering wheel is flat, so it sits below the instruments.
The Trailseeker also has a lower starting price in the U.S.: $41,445 compared to $46,895 for the Toyota bZ Woodland. The difference is nearly $5,500, although the Toyota comes with more standard features.
