Chinese consumers rush to buy Maserati SUVs at half price
Due to a large-scale price reduction in China, demand for Maserati SUVs has surged sharply. The price of the electric Grecale Folgore version dropped from around 900,000 to 360,000 yuan ($51,000), while the gasoline model decreased from 650,000 to 390,000 yuan ($55,000).

According to a Maserati dealership manager in Shanghai, a queue had already formed before the showroom opened on the first day of the promotion. The base gasoline versions sold out in the city within two days. The discounts are linked to the clearance sale of a batch of cars delayed for nearly one and a half years due to Covid-19, coinciding with the launch of new models. Currently, base Grecale models are sold out nationwide, with the prices of remaining cars starting from 450,000 yuan.
This promotion is likely to reshape consumer perception of Maserati in China and boost demand for the brand’s new models in the near future.
