Tesla sales in France and Scandinavia surged in March — Reuters
The American electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla reported impressive growth in new car registrations in key European markets for the month of March 2026.
This was reported by Reuters, citing data from various countries.
In France, the number of new registrations more than tripled compared to the same period last year, approaching a historic record.
According to official data, 9,569 new Tesla vehicles were registered in France, which is 203% more than in March 2025.
This figure is just three units shy of the all-time high of 9,572 cars recorded in December 2023.
Scandinavian countries also showed strong positive growth.
In Norway, registrations rose by 178% (6,150 cars), in Sweden by 144% (1,447 cars), and in Denmark by 96% (1,784 cars), indicating a recovery in demand for Elon Musk’s company’s products.
The overall results for the first quarter of 2026 confirm a steady trend toward growing popularity of the brand’s electric vehicles.
In France, quarterly registrations rose by 108%, in Norway by 95%, in Sweden by 48%, and in Denmark by 50%.
“In France, 9,569 new Tesla vehicles were registered in March, which is 203% more than a year earlier,” Reuters reports, citing data from national registries.
This surge is attributed to the optimization of logistics chains and the release of updated versions of popular models.
As a reminder, Tesla is officially ending production of the legendary Model S and Model X.
