Scout Motors unveils two Traveler SUV concepts

Scout Motors has unveiled two concepts of its future Traveler electric SUV — Mountainside and an off-road-prepared version. The vehicles will be shown to visitors at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience festival. The company aims to demonstrate two sides of the model: a comfortable interior with premium materials and capabilities for off-road travel.

As InsideEVs reports, series production of the Traveler is expected to begin next year, while Scout Motors plans to start delivering vehicles to customers in 2028.

Mountainside version

The Mountainside concept received a Morning Dusk body color — a dark brown-graphite shade with golden metallic flecks — and 22-inch disc-style wheels. The interior uses light brown leather, gray fabric, and trim elements made from recycled walnut wood. Scout describes this version as a warm and refined interpretation of an electric SUV.

Off-road equipment

The second concept was painted in a Galvanized Steel shade that imitates unpainted metal, while its roof was finished in a contrasting Canvas color. The vehicle is equipped with fully metal front and rear bumpers, a raised roof rack with additional lights, an integrated front winch, 18-inch black beadlock wheels, and 35-inch off-road tires. Its interior is styled in the Denim District theme with brick-red leather.

Scout Motors said that at the start of production it will offer the Traveler in an extended-range Harvester version, as demand for it exceeds interest in the purely electric variant. This modification will combine a four-cylinder generator with a 63 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The claimed range is 500 miles.
