In New York, MSCHF turned two Lexus crossovers into sculptures — Motor1

In New York, United States, Lexus unveiled two art sculptures created on the basis of the RZ 450e electric crossover and the RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid. The Brooklyn-based creative collective MSCHF worked on the project commissioned by the brand. The works were shown at the Chelsea Industrial venue during Armory Week, which ran from September 24 to 26, 2026.

As Motor1 reports, Lexus called these objects Form Cars and emphasized that they should be perceived as sculptures rather than prototypes of future cars. Both works were exhibited alongside unmodified versions of the models on which they were based.

A crossover in the shape of a ring

The first sculpture was called Circle Car. For it, MSCHF reworked a Lexus RZ 450e by joining the front of the car to the rear, creating a continuous ring. As a result, the crossover lost its functional cabin and ability to move, while the structure creates an impression of frozen motion.

The Lexus RZ 450e is a fully electric model. According to the publication, the all-wheel-drive version in 2026 has an output of 313 horsepower, and the model's starting price is $47,395.

A body twisted along its axis

The second work, Twisted Car, was created on the basis of the Lexus RX 450h+. Its body was twisted around the longitudinal central axis, turning the crossover's panels into a spiral-like shape. MSCHF described the object as a frozen intermediate frame of motion, similar to a visual effect in animation.

The RX 450h+ is a Lexus plug-in hybrid crossover. The starting price of this model stated in the article is $66,780.
