Honda Atlas ends BR-V production in Pakistan — Dawn

Pakistani company Honda Atlas Cars Ltd has ended production of the Honda BR-V model. As Dawn reports, the vehicle has also been removed from the company’s official website, which continues to feature other models of the brand.

End of the life cycle

A senior Honda Atlas Cars Ltd official told the publication that the company had no problems sourcing parts and components from Japan or other countries. According to him, BR-V production was stopped because the model had reached the end of its life cycle.

The company representative did not specify whether Honda Atlas plans to introduce a replacement for the BR-V in the near future. He noted that production volumes for the vehicle were low, at about 25–50 units per month.

Declining figures

The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association, PAMA, publishes combined production and sales figures for the Honda BR-V and HR-V. In July–August, production of these models totalled 120 vehicles, while sales amounted to 191 units. During the same period in 2025, the figures were 1,460 and 731 vehicles respectively.

Assembly of the Honda BR-V in Pakistan began in April 2017: 648 vehicles were produced that month and 527 were sold. Starting from the 2022 financial year, PAMA began combining BR-V and HR-V statistics.

One Honda dealer said that the BR-V had already disappeared from the brand’s showrooms, while buyers showed almost no interest in either pre-orders or purchasing vehicles in stock. Honda suppliers also confirmed that production had ended, linking it to low demand. The publication notes that both models may have been losing buyers following the arrival of Chinese and Korean vehicles, including hybrids, extended-range electric vehicles and fully electric models.
