Aston Martin unveils 717-hp DBX GT with more comfortable suspension — Motor1

Aston Martin has unveiled a new version of the DBX GT sports crossover, which combines tuning for more comfortable daily driving with a 717-horsepower twin-turbo V8 engine. The first deliveries of the model are expected in the fourth quarter of 2026, Motor1 reports.

Changes for comfort

The DBX GT received different damper tuning and internal damper valves designed to better absorb small high-frequency impacts from uneven surfaces and rumble strips without compromising body control. As standard, the crossover will be fitted with 22-inch forged wheels with all-season tires. Aston Martin says this solution should improve ride smoothness and reduce road noise.

As an option, 23-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero summer tires or Scorpion Zero all-season tires will be offered. Exterior changes include a new grille with double slats, a two-section metal trim element on the front fenders, as well as a body-colored lower front bumper section, side sills, and rear diffuser. The four exhaust pipes are arranged horizontally in pairs.

Updated interior and engineering

The company redesigned the front and rear seats by adding more padding and changing their shape and side bolstering. The cushions use a 10-millimeter layer of memory foam. The rear seats have individually sculpted seating areas, although the DBX GT retains a five-seat layout. A panoramic glass roof is included as standard equipment.

To reduce cabin noise, Aston Martin added sound-absorbing materials to the doors, wheel arches, and luggage compartment, and used acoustic laminated glass for the rear side windows. According to the manufacturer, these changes improve the Articulation Index by 13%, a measure of how easily passengers can converse while the vehicle is moving.

The DBX GT uses the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the DBX S. It produces 717 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. The crossover accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and has a top speed of 193 mph. The nine-speed wet-clutch automatic transmission received different calibration for smoother shifts. The model also has carbon-ceramic brakes measuring 420 mm at the front and 390 mm at the rear. The DBX GT's price has not yet been announced; the DBX S starts at $291,200.
