BMW increases X3 M50 xDrive output to 326 kW — TimesLIVE
In South Africa, BMW has announced an increase in the output of the X3 M50 xDrive sports crossover to 326 kW. This is 33 kW more than before. As TimesLIVE reports, the update applies to all X3 M50 xDrive versions and does not depend on ordering the new Black Package.
Performance and powertrain
The model is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder gasoline engine and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. According to BMW, the additional power has reduced the claimed 0–100 km/h acceleration time to 4.4 seconds.
Using the one-foot rollout method, which involves the car moving a short distance before timing begins, the same acceleration takes 4.1 seconds.

Black Package equipment
The Black Package, available only for the X3 M50 xDrive, includes 22-inch Polygon 1134 M Black alloy wheels. They are one inch larger than the standard wheels. The M Sport brake calipers, exterior M badges, and model designation have received a gloss-black finish, while the badges have a silver outline.
The interior features Alcantara inserts and carbon-effect trim. The black Alcantara and Veganza seats have blue stitching and piping, while some controls are made of BMW Individual CraftedClarity glass. The BMW X3 M50 Black Package is scheduled to enter the South African market in the third quarter of 2027, with the company to announce the price later.
