Vauxhall unveils new Griffin logo for future models — Motor1
In the United Kingdom, automaker Vauxhall, which is part of the Stellantis group, has unveiled an updated version of its Griffin emblem. The badge has gained sharper and more angular lines, while the flag that was previously part of the griffin image has been removed. As Motor1 reports, the redesign is linked to the next stage of the brand’s design development and the expansion of its electrified model range.
The emblem was adapted for illumination
The new badge was designed to better match the illuminated Vizor front panel. Vauxhall has used this design element since 2021. The company said that the simplified emblem should be clearer and easier to recognize when illuminated.
Vice President of Design Mark Adams said that the manufacturer sought to retain the key elements of the historic symbol while simplifying it for the next generation of electrified vehicles. The updated corporate identity has also already begun to be introduced at the brand’s dealerships.

STX Concept will be the first to receive the new badge
The first vehicle to feature the updated emblem is expected to be the Vauxhall STX Concept. The Sports Tourer eXperimental is designed as an aerodynamic estate car, and its presentation is scheduled for October 12. According to the publication, the new badge will debut on the STX Concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, and next year it will be used on a next-generation production model.
The Griffin has a long history at Vauxhall. The first cars assembled by the company in 1903 did not yet have this emblem. Since the 1920s, the badge has undergone 12 major updates, making the current version the 13th. Vauxhall links the origin of the griffin to the coat of arms of Sir Fulkes de Breauté, which is more than 700 years old.
