South Africa recalls 543 Suzuki Grand Vitaras over faulty indicator — TimesLIVE
In South Africa, the National Consumer Commission announced the recall of 543 Suzuki Grand Vitara vehicles sold since May 2025. As TimesLIVE reports, the recall is being conducted by Suzuki Auto South Africa.
Problem with the fuel warning
According to the manufacturer, the low-fuel indicator in these vehicles may fail to activate as the amount of fuel in the tank decreases. As a result, the driver may not receive a warning about a low fuel level.
According to the manufacturer, due to this fault, the vehicle may run out of fuel completely. In that case, the engine may stall, and it will be impossible to restart the vehicle.
