Ukrainians have started buying gasoline-powered cars more often and have identified the most popular model

In the first half of 2026, 77,200 gasoline-powered passenger cars were added to Ukraine’s vehicle fleet. This is 18% more than during the same period last year, indicating growing demand for such vehicles.

 

Of this total, 12,900 were new cars. Their number increased by 6% year-over-year. Another 64,300 gasoline-powered passenger cars were used imported vehicles, which is 21% more than last year.

The top five most popular new gasoline-powered passenger cars were:

  • Hyundai Tucson — 1,141 cars;
  • Mazda CX-5 — 910 cars;
  • Skoda Karoq — 583 cars;
  • Renault Duster — 570 cars;
  • Suzuki SX4 — 538 cars.

Among imported used gasoline-powered cars, the most popular were:

  • Volkswagen Tiguan — 4,053 cars;
  • Volkswagen Golf — 3,866 cars;
  • Nissan Rogue — 3,625 cars;
  • Audi Q5 — 3,479 cars;
  • Skoda Octavia — 1,968 cars.
