Five medical facilities were damaged and partially destroyed as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Experts are assessing the extent of the damage and its impact on the facilities’ operations.
“In Kyiv, five medical facilities were damaged and partially destroyed as a result of the shelling—two specialized medical facilities, as well as primary healthcare centers in the Podilskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts. The latter was the hardest hit—the second and third floors there were destroyed.
As noted, medical staff and patients were in shelters. There were no casualties at these facilities.
In total, four people were killed and 65 injured in the attack in Kyiv, including three children. Thirty-eight of the injured were hospitalized.
“Medical personnel are providing necessary assistance to all those affected. Emergency services are on the scene, and efforts to address the aftermath of the shelling are ongoing,” the statement reads.
