On the night of June 1, Russian forces launched a massive combined attack on Kyiv, using ballistic and cruise missiles as well as attack drones. Four people were killed in the shelling, and another 58 were injured, including three children. The State Emergency Service released photos of the aftermath of the strike, and local authorities also provided updated information.

According to city authorities, 40 victims were hospitalized. Others received on-site or outpatient care. Damage and destruction were reported in eight districts of the capital.
Podil District
The most severe consequences of the attack were recorded in the Podilskyi district. A strike on a nine-story residential building resulted in the partial collapse of the upper floors. People may be trapped under the rubble. At least five casualties have been reported so far.
Fires also broke out in the district at an educational institution, a municipal enterprise, and non-residential buildings. The fire engulfed cars, warehouses, and other structures.
Holosiivskyi District
In the Holosiivskyi District, the second and third floors of a clinic were destroyed by the strike. Additionally, office spaces, retail facilities, small retail kiosks, and one of the business centers were damaged. Fires broke out in vehicles and non-residential structures at several locations.
Solomyanskyi District
Debris struck the upper floors of a 15-story residential building. Fires also broke out in a 24-story building on the seventh, eighth, and ninth floors. Additionally, two private homes and a building in a non-residential area caught fire. Rescuers freed one man.
Shevchenkivskyi District
In the district, the facade and roof of a nine-story residential building were damaged. Debris also caused fires in several non-residential premises and a three-story building. Separately, a fire was reported in a 24-story residential building on the fourth and fifth floors.
Svyatoshynskyi District
A fire broke out on the first floor of a five-story residential building. The facades and windows of residential buildings were also damaged, and a fire broke out at another location on the grounds of a non-residential building.
Darnitskyi District
A fire broke out at a gas station due to falling debris from a drone. Fires were also reported in non-residential buildings.
Obolon District
Debris fell on open areas near two kindergartens. Additionally, a fire broke out on the grounds of an unfinished construction site.
Pecherskyi District
In the Pecherskyi District, an unfinished construction site was damaged. According to preliminary data, the damage here is minor.
Rescue workers, medical personnel, law enforcement, and utility services are currently working at the sites of the strikes. Information on the consequences of the attack is being clarified, and emergency rescue operations are ongoing.





As a reminder, Russia attacked dozens of settlements in the Kherson region over the past 24 hours, resulting in deaths and injuries.
On the evening of May 24, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Druzhkivka in the Donetsk region, hitting a high-rise residential building. A woman was killed in the attack, and five other people were wounded.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, a business center was hit following a massive nighttime attack by Russia. Preliminary reports indicate that people may be trapped inside the shelter.
As a result of Russia’s massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv, the shock wave damaged the ground-level lobby of the Lukyanivska metro station.
