Klitschko promised incentives for businesses affected by Russian attacks
The Kyiv City Council will explore possible options for assisting businesses that have suffered losses as a result of enemy attacks. In particular, they will consider the possibility of introducing exemptions from land lease fees for properties that have been damaged or destroyed, as well as from property taxes.
This was discussed during a meeting between Mayor Vitali Klitschko and representatives of the capital’s major businesses. Business owners raised the issue of financial support, and city officials agreed to jointly develop appropriate options in accordance with the law.
In addition, the meeting addressed the capital’s preparations for the winter season and the installation of mobile shelters. The business community confirmed its readiness to participate in equipping shelters, installing alternative power sources, setting up warming centers, and supporting Kyiv’s humanitarian headquarters.

Kyiv has begun stockpiling food and drinking water in case of prolonged power outages and other emergencies. The city aims to prepare reserves in advance that can be used at resilience centers and to assist residents in the event of large-scale disruptions.
A new air threat alert system went into operation in Kyiv on September 6. Now, city residents will receive notifications not only about the existence of a threat but also about its type—drone, missile, or combined.
