Gas stations in the Kyiv region will gain access to an air target tracking system

Gas stations in the Kyiv region will gain access to a special digital air awareness system used by the Defense Forces. The Kyiv Regional Defense Council, in coordination with the regional military administration, adopted this decision to enhance the safety of employees and visitors during air attacks.

Integration into the system will allow responsible gas station employees to receive real-time information about the movement of enemy aerial targets. As a result, they will be able to identify specific threats and make timely decisions regarding suspension of operations or evacuation, rather than relying solely on a general air raid alert.

The tightening of security measures stems from the fact that fuel infrastructure facilities remain at heightened risk of enemy strikes. Drivers are also urged to take danger alerts seriously and follow the instructions of gas station staff.

This was announced by Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

Russian strikes have damaged 16 gas stations in the capital. At the same time, city officials stated on September 15 that no fuel shortage is expected for Kyiv residents.

A new air threat alert system has been operational in Kyiv since September 6. Now, city residents will receive notifications not only about the fact of a threat but also about its type—drone, missile, or combined.
