Klitschko Discussed How Prepared Kyiv Is for the Heating Season
The mayor of the capital, Vitali Klitschko, noted that Kyiv is nearly 90% ready for the new heating season.
“First and foremost, we have taken on the task of restoring our central heating system. The restoration of the power plants and preparations for the upcoming heating season are already nearly 90% complete,” Klitschko said.
According to him, the second task is to create a backup system designed to ensure the city’s heat supply in the event that key power plants are destroyed.
Klitschko noted that the city is working with the government to implement this plan and is evaluating various scenarios in case of potential Russian attacks.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko made these remarks while answering questions from journalists, according to Ukrinform.
Klitschko called for the prompt transfer of the Gostiny Dvor complex to Kyiv’s ownership.
Earlier, Klitschko initiated the dismissal of Bakhmatov, the head of the Desnianskyi District State Administration.
The police have opened a criminal case against Bakhmatov, according to Starostenko.
The clinic on Lisova Street has remained damaged for the third consecutive year following a deadly Russian strike.
Previously, Maxim Bakhmatov, former managing partner of UNIT.City, became a new advisor to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko. He will focus on the development of information technology and the digitization of Kyiv.
