KPI and KNU have become the most popular universities in Kyiv
During the 2026 admissions cycle, applicants submitted 378,308 applications to universities in Kyiv.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv received the most applications.
The top ten most popular institutions also included the Dnipro State Economic University, the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, the Kyiv University of Intellectual Property and Law, the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the Kyiv Aviation Institute, the Boris Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, and the Mykhailo Dragomanov National Pedagogical University.
