A digital memorial candle was installed at Karavaevy Dachi at the site of the fatal traffic accident
A digital memorial candle has appeared above the underpass at Karavaevy Dachi in Kyiv, where a fatal traffic accident involving a Mercedes-Benz C300 occurred on June 5. It was displayed on a large advertising screen above the site of the tragedy.
According to volunteer Viktoria Polyakova, in the days following the accident, people brought flowers, toys, and small candles to the makeshift memorial, but due to rain and strong winds, it was difficult to light the candles.
Subsequently, the company “RTM-Ukraine,” on its own initiative, turned off commercial advertisements on the screen and left an image of a burning candle on a black background. This symbol of remembrance was displayed for over a week.
Advertising has now resumed, but the digital candle continues to appear periodically on the screen. A volunteer noted that this gesture was a sign of support and humanity during a difficult time for the families of the victims.
As a reminder, four people died as a result of the accident at Karavaevy Dachi.

As a reminder, a major traffic accident involving two passenger cars occurred on the Kyiv–Pereyaslav highway near the village of Rogoziv in the Boryspil district. Four people were killed in the accident, and three others were injured.
The day before, a farewell ceremony was held at the St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv for two beat officers from the Solom— Lieutenant Denys Budchenko and Senior Lieutenant Dmytro Bondarchuk.
