Thunderstorms are approaching Kyiv: a yellow alert has been issued

Weather conditions are expected to deteriorate in Kyiv and the Kyiv region by the end of the day on July 11. Meteorologists are warning of thunderstorms and have issued a Level I hazard alert (yellow).

The Kyiv City State Administration has urged residents and visitors to the capital to exercise caution and, if possible, limit their time outdoors until the storm passes.

During a thunderstorm, it is recommended to stay away from power lines, advertising structures, and large trees, and not to park cars near them due to the risk of falling branches.

In the event of flooded streets, fallen trees, or malfunctioning traffic lights or road signs, Kyiv residents are asked to notify the appropriate city services. If there is a threat to life or if anyone is injured, emergency responders and medical personnel must be called immediately.
