A woman was arrested in Obolon for setting fire to her acquaintances' doors
In Kyiv, law enforcement officials have detained a 41-year-old woman suspected of setting fire to the doors of her acquaintances’ apartments following disputes. She will remain in custody pending the pre-trial investigation.
This was reported by the Obolon District Prosecutor’s Office in Kyiv, which is overseeing the case.
According to the investigation, the first incident occurred in February. The woman, likely out of jealousy, set fire to the door of a man she suspected of having an affair with another woman. Just a month later, the situation repeated itself: during a gathering, she got into a fight with an acquaintance, after which she was kicked out of the apartment. Later, the suspect set fire to his front door as well.
In the second case, the home of a man with a Group II disability was damaged. Because the faux leather upholstery caught fire, the flames spread quickly, posing a real danger to the resident.

The woman’s actions are classified under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—intentional damage to another person’s property committed by arson.
If found guilty, she faces imprisonment for a term of three to ten years.
Earlier, the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against a family doctor who, for $6,000, promised to arrange a disability classification to allow a conscript to travel abroad.
