Parking rates in Kyiv will increase for the first time in five years

The Kyiv City State Administration has officially announced a change in parking fees at facilities operated by the municipal enterprise "Kyivtransparkservice" effective April 27.

This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.

The main change will be the introduction of a “subscription” format—special monthly passes for individuals who officially pay taxes to the capital’s budget.

The cost of hourly parking will depend on the city’s territorial zone. In the busiest Zone I, the rate will be 40 UAH/hour; in Zone II, 30 UAH/hour; and for Zone III, the price is set at 10 UAH/hour.

These measures are aimed at relieving central city streets of excessive traffic congestion.

For regular users, the city offers affordable monthly passes, available through the “Kyiv Digital” app.

A monthly subscription for Zone III will cost 299 UAH, for Zone II — 999 UAH, and unlimited access to all parking zones in Kyiv will cost 1,499 UAH. The service will be available starting at 8:00 a.m. on the day the changes take effect.

Employees, sole proprietors, property owners, and working retirees who have official taxable income in Kyiv will be eligible for the discounted subscriptions.

Students will only be eligible for the subscription if they have legal income on which taxes are paid. Verification of taxpayer status will occur automatically within the digital app.

The payment process will become much simpler, as the pass is linked directly to the vehicle’s license plate number. Parking inspectors will instantly see subscription information in their database.

This means that drivers will not need to start the parking timer every time they stop.
