A map of 5G coverage in Kyiv has been released
Mobile operators Kyivstar, Vodafone, and lifecell have launched a pilot test of 5G technology in Kyiv, covering the capital’s most popular locations. Kyiv has now become the fourth Ukrainian city where this network is being tested.
lifecell’s coverage is available at key locations, including Khreshchatyk, Independence Square, Bessarabska, Kontraktova, Poshtova, and Sevastopolskaya Squares, near the Central and Southern train stations, near the “Pecherska” and “Arsenalna” metro stations, at the VDNG exhibition center, and near the Ocean Plaza, “RaiON,” and Retroville shopping centers. The Vodafone network covers specific areas within each of the city’s ten administrative districts.
Kyivstar has launched 5G in many popular areas, including Sofiyska and Yevropeiska Squares, the Golden Gate, the National Opera of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko Park and Botanical Garden, St. Volodymyr’s Cathedral, the Kyiv City History Museum, Parkova Road, Volodymyrska Hill, and Peizazhna Alley.
Following the launch of the 5G network pilot project in Kyiv, Odesa will be the next city where the new technology is planned to be tested. Stanislav Prybytko, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for Digital Infrastructure Development, announced this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
