Elevated dust levels were recorded in nine communities in the Kyiv region

Air quality in most communities in the Kyiv region remains within normal limits.

At the same time, elevated concentrations of fine particulate matter have been recorded in nine communities.

According to the Kyiv Regional State Administration, elevated levels of fine particulate matter were recorded in the following settlements:

  • Ivankiv;
  • Vyshhorod;
  • Vyshneve;
  • Boyarka;
  • Vasylkiv;
  • Obukhiv;
  • Boryspil;
  • Velyka Dymerka;
  • Brovary.

Experts warn that residents of these communities may experience breathing difficulties.

The Kyiv Regional State Administration advises following these simple safety measures:

  • keep windows closed;
  • limit prolonged time spent outdoors;
  • drink plenty of water;
  • if you have an air purifier, use it at maximum capacity.

Air quality deteriorated in Kyiv and the Kyiv Regional Administration area following the Russian shelling on August 5.

In particular, elevated levels of fine particulate matter and carbon dioxide were recorded in Vyshneve, Obukhiv, and Brovary. Elevated dust concentrations were also detected in Ivankiv, Boyarka, and Vasylkiv.

According to the SaveEcoBot service, the worst situation in Kyiv was observed in certain areas of the Solomyanskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts, where air pollution levels reached the “red” level.

This was reported by the Kyiv Regional State Administration.

Following one of Russia’s most intense nighttime attacks on Kyiv on August 5, elevated levels of air pollution were recorded in the capital. The worst conditions are observed in the western and eastern parts of the city, where the Air Quality Index (AQI) has reached unhealthy levels.

Following Russia’s massive attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region, the threat of air pollution persists. The Ministry of Health advises people to spend less time outdoors, close windows and doors, and take steps to protect their respiratory tracts. It is especially important to monitor your health and respond immediately if you experience breathing difficulties.
