Kyiv Wants to Ease Restrictions During Air Raid Alerts
The city authorities will submit proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers to update the safety protocols for Kyiv and revise the city’s operating procedures during air raid alerts.
Specifically, this involves the possible lifting of traffic restrictions on bridges and the easing of the curfew. The Kyiv Defense Council has prepared a corresponding proposal.
Among the proposals:
allowing trains on the “green” metro line to operate during air raid alerts. This will ensure the transport of passengers across the South Bridge from the left to the right bank and from the right to the left bank, noted Vitali Klitschko.
Easing the curfew for transit freight transport and people arriving at train stations during curfew hours;
change the operating procedures for businesses, as well as certain medical, educational, and municipal institutions.
These proposals must now be reviewed and approved by the government.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on August 31.

In Kyiv, there is a proposal to allow metro trains to operate during air raid alerts on certain sections to ease the burden on surface transportation and reduce travel time for thousands of passengers.
