In Kyiv's Obolon district, a man opened fire in a supermarket; he was detained

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a 35-year-old man who, according to the investigation, opened fire at a supermarket in the Obolon district of the capital. He has been notified that he is suspected of hooliganism involving the use of a weapon.

According to investigators, the incident occurred at a supermarket on Pivnichna Street. It has been preliminarily established that the intoxicated man entered the store, began provoking a conflict with the staff, and then pulled out an air gun and fired a shot in the direction of a security guard.

Police detained the suspect in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and seized the air gun, which, according to investigators, was used during the incident.

A criminal case has been opened on charges of hooliganism committed with the use of a weapon (Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The suspect has already been notified of the charges against him.

If found guilty, the man faces up to seven years in prison.

In Kyiv, employees of a Territorial Recruitment Center beat a man. After he lost consciousness, they panicked and fled the scene.
