Kyiv has canceled its power outage schedules

UA NEWS 01 October 2026 09:34
Kyiv has canceled its power outage schedules

On October 1, Kyiv canceled the hourly power outage schedules that had been introduced the day before due to the effects of Russian shelling. Provided there are no new attacks on the capital’s energy infrastructure, the city should remain without power outages until the end of the day.

According to Kyiv-based DTEK, the hourly power outage schedule was completely canceled on October 1.

At the same time, energy officials emphasize that the situation will depend on further attacks on energy facilities. If there are no new strikes, Kyiv’s power supply should remain stable until the end of the day.

This was reported by “DTEK Kyiv Power Grids.”

As a reminder, on September 30, emergency power outages were implemented in parts of Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Zhytomyr regions, due to the aftermath of Russian shelling.

Ukrenergo explained that the restrictions were necessary due to the overload of power equipment following the Russian attack.

Subsequently, energy officials reported a gradual stabilization of the situation in the power grid.

In the Kyiv region, emergency restrictions were later replaced by scheduled stabilisation outages.

As of October 1, the schedules for hourly power cuts in the capital have been completely canceled.

On September 30, on the orders of Ukrenergo, stabilizing power outages were introduced in the Kyiv region. The restrictions will apply to only two groups.
