In Kyiv, a tax office building damaged by shelling is being restored with the support of donors from the U.S.
In Kyiv’s Svyatoshynsky District, the tax office building—which was damaged during Russian shelling in June—is being restored. The work is being carried out with support from the American charitable organizations GEM and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation.
As a result of the enemy attack, windows were shattered and office spaces were damaged. The restoration is being carried out as part of GEM’s window replacement program in partnership with the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, at the request of the tax service. In total, specialists are to install 245 new window units, which will allow employees to return to full-scale operations more quickly.
The international organization Global Empowerment Mission specializes in rapid response to emergencies and the provision of humanitarian aid. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the Howard G. Buffett Foundation has allocated hundreds of millions of dollars to support humanitarian projects in Ukraine.
