Kyiv City Hall has responded to questions about whether there will be enough fuel following the Russian attacks on gas stations
Russian strikes damaged 16 gas stations in the capital. At the same time, city hall announced on September 15 that no fuel shortage is expected for Kyiv residents.
This was stated by Andriy Tkachov, acting head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, during a televised marathon.
According to Tkachov, the Russians deliberately targeted the capital’s gas stations. Currently, the number of damaged gas stations in the city has risen to 16.
Despite this, the official emphasized that there is no threat of a fuel shortage in Kyiv.
The Kyiv City Military Administration assures that the capital’s fuel market remains stable. Tkachov added that the key to safety is Kyiv residents’ adherence to safety protocols during air raid alerts.
“First and foremost, our citizens must follow safety measures and remain in shelters. Gas stations must close during an air raid alert, and all customers and employees must evacuate to the nearest shelter,” Tkachov emphasized.
As a reminder, Kyiv Digital will refund funds for unused trips based on the old rates.
Kyiv has begun stockpiling food and drinking water in preparation for prolonged power outages and other emergencies. The city aims to prepare reserves in advance that can be used at resilience centers and to assist residents in the event of large-scale disruptions.
A new air threat alert system began operating in Kyiv on September 6. Now, city residents will receive notifications not only about the fact that a threat exists, but also about its type—drone, missile, or combined.
