The second day of protests is underway in Teremky. According to eyewitnesses, the police pushed the activists into the grounds of the “Respublika” residential complex.
After that, a security guard at the “Respublika” residential complex, in turn, began pushing people back, explaining that they were not residents of the complex.
Meanwhile, a new fence is being erected on the premises. The work is being carried out using heavy equipment.

During the protest, one of the activists climbed into the bucket of a piece of heavy equipment in an attempt to stop the work.

The situation in Teremky remains tense, and protesters and security personnel continue to clash at the site.

On September 21, in the Teremky neighborhood of Kyiv, employees of the “Municipal Security” municipal enterprise and units of the National Police were called in to provide security at a construction site where a backup heating network is being installed. The Kyiv City State Administration explained that some residents had attempted to block the work of heavy equipment and construction crews.
The city administration noted that it respects residents’ right to peacefully express their views, but the presence of people in the construction zone could pose a danger due to large-scale equipment, open trenches, and construction materials.
As a reminder, in the Teremky neighborhood, police are clearing a path for a heating pipeline, which involves cutting down 100-year-old oak trees.
Also in the Teremky neighborhood, Kyiv’s municipal security forces forcibly dispersed protesters.
Against this backdrop, Kyivteploenergo denies that trees are being cut down in Teremky.
