Water service on the Left Bank of the capital will be restored within two hours

The mayor of Kyiv announced that experts plan to restore water service to the city’s Left Bank within the next 1–2 hours following the large-scale attack.

Currently, utility services are working around the clock to repair infrastructure damage that has affected nearly all districts of the capital.

City authorities warn of a high likelihood of an increase in the death toll due to the strikes and caution about possible renewed shelling.

“The likelihood of an increase in the death toll and further strikes is high,” the mayor emphasized during an operational briefing.

In the Darnytskyi district, experts are beginning a detailed inspection of a residential building that sustained significant damage during the nighttime attack.

Based on the results of the inspection, a decision will be made regarding the safety of remaining in the homes or the need for the urgent relocation of residents.

For those Kyiv residents whose homes have become uninhabitable, the city is preparing options for providing temporary housing and necessary humanitarian aid.

Authorities are providing full support to affected families, organizing logistics and safe accommodations until repair work is completed.

Damage of varying severity has been reported in nearly every district of Kyiv, requiring the deployment of a significant number of vehicles and specialists from the State Emergency Service.

On the night of May 14, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv, using ballistic missiles and strike drones.

One of the longest air raid alerts in the capital has ended, lasting 7 hours and 52 minutes due to the enemy’s massive attack.
