Andriy Khlyvnyuk is ready to give up his title of Honored Artist
Andriy Khlyvnyuk, the leader of the band “Boombox,” stated that he is prepared to renounce his title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. The singer also believes that some Ukrainian celebrities should be stripped of their honorary titles.
Andriy Khlyvnyuk commented on the issue of stripping Ukrainian artists of their state awards and honorary titles. He believes that some celebrities will indeed have to forfeit their titles. “We’ll have to strip ‘cultural figures’ of their titles and awards anyway. The only question is whether it’s for anti-Ukrainian or pro-Ukrainian stances,” he wrote.
However, the singer does not want to be on a list with stars whose stance does not match their status as Honored or People’s Artists of Ukraine. Therefore, Khlyvnyuk is ready to give up his title of Honored Artist. “I don’t mind giving up my ‘Honored’ title; in such company, it’s a total ‘cringe,’” the musician said.
