Aurica Rotaru revealed which Ukrainian star she would like to sing a duet with
People's Artist of Ukraine Aurica Rotaru revealed which young Ukrainian singers she likes and named the stars with whom she would or would not agree to perform a duet.
This became known from the singer’s interview with the well-known showman Slava Dyomin.
The singer candidly assessed the repertoire, vocal abilities, and generational differences with contemporary representatives of the domestic show business.
According to Aurica Rotaru, among the new generation of artists, she most enjoys the work of Khayat and Laud.
At the same time, she would definitely refuse to sing with the popular singer Anna Trincher and clearly explained the main reason for this decision.
“No, we have different voices,” the People’s Artist noted during the conversation.
The famous singer also believes that she would be unlikely to form a harmonious musical duo with Nadiya Dorofeyeva due to a significant difference in age and style.
“She’s more youthful. We wouldn’t look good together,” explained Aurica Rotaru.
The artist is convinced that every performer must focus on their target audience and the corresponding visual image.
The singer also firmly rejected the idea of a possible joint track with Olya Polyakova. “Polyakova isn’t my kind of singer,” she added, commenting on her flamboyant colleague’s work.
At the same time, the People’s Artist noted separately that, in general, she likes Polyakova’s work, but the super-blonde is “just different” to her in terms of her inner energy and presentation of material.
The legendary artist also absolutely cannot see herself sharing the stage with Tina Karol. She explains this by the fundamental difference in their repertoires and their completely dissimilar performance styles: “Karol—she sings in a completely different way too. It’s a different repertoire.”
In Rotaru’s opinion, such a combination of vocal styles will not yield the desired result.
