President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the expansion of the list of categories for the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine—from now on, it includes architecture.
“We are taking another step to strengthen our largest and most prestigious national award in the field of culture and the arts—the Shevchenko Prize. Last year, we added curation, photography, and design to the list of categories. This year, we are adding architecture,” Zelenskyy noted.
According to the president, the award should more broadly reflect the creative potential of Ukrainians and remain a symbol of respect and gratitude to those who develop Ukrainian culture, national identity, and the state.
Zelenskyy also thanked the members of the Shevchenko Committee for their work in strengthening the Ukrainian cultural sphere.
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he is not interested in the Nobel Peace Prize.
The jury of the International Booker Prize has released a longlist featuring 13 translated works of fiction published in English in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
