The musicians shared the news on Instagram.

In their statement, the band members noted that they had decided to end Aqua’s history as a touring group, thanking fans for their long-standing support.

“After many incredible years, we have decided to close the chapter on Aqua as a touring band,” the post reads.

The band debuted in 1997 with the album *Aquarium*, which included the song “Barbie Girl,” an international hit.

In 2023, Aqua found themselves back in the spotlight after their hit was used in a new version for the movie “Barbie,” featuring Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice.

In the early 2000s, Mattel sued the band’s label over “Barbie Girl,” but the court ruled that the song was a parody and dismissed the lawsuit.
