The occupiers have issued a warrant for the arrest of Ukrainian singer Artem Pivovarov
The occupation administration of the Kharkiv region has opened a so-called “criminal case” against Ukrainian singer Artem Pivovarov and placed him on the wanted list.
According to reports, representatives of the fake pro-Russian authorities have leveled a series of charges against the singer, including the alleged “discrediting” the Russian Armed Forces, financing Ukrainian military units, systematically supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces, making public statements in support of Ukrainian defenders during concerts, as well as purchasing and transferring military equipment and protective gear to Ukrainian troops.
Based on these fabricated charges, the occupiers are threatening the artist with up to 20 years in prison.
According to the occupying “Ministry of Internal Affairs,” Artem Pivovarov allegedly transfers funds collected during concerts to support units of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, openly speaks out in support of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and provides the military with necessary equipment and protective gear.
Artem Pivovarov was born on June 28, 1991, in Vovchansk, Kharkiv Oblast. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the artist has been actively involved in charitable work, holding concerts in support of Ukraine and assisting the Ukrainian military.
During the war, the singer has donated about ten vehicles to the defenders, as well as a mobile hospital worth $250,000. His charity performances in Ukraine and across Europe are regularly aimed at raising funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In 2025, Artem Pivovarov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. His hometown of Vovchansk remains under Russian occupation. According to the singer, his family remains there, and he has repeatedly stated that he looks forward to the liberation of his hometown every day.
The artist shared this on his Facebook page.
Earlier, the team behind the Ukrainian artist Drevo succeeded in having a track by the Russian singer R. Riccardo blocked on major streaming services.
