International stand-up shows to take place in Cyprus in September
A series of stand-up performances featuring Elena Gabriel, Rhys Kidd and Rahman Blake is scheduled in Cyprus in September, while the International Comedy Festival will take place in Limassol at the end of the month. Cyprus Mail reports on the event programme.
Performances in Larnaca, Paphos and Nicosia
Australia-born, Europe-based Elena Gabriel will present her Getting Personal programme together with Cypriot comedian Peter Kypri. The shows will take place on September 16 at Savino Live in Larnaca and on September 18 at Ravens Music Hall in Limassol. The performances will be in English.
As part of his European tour, Irish comedian Rhys Kidd will present his new stand-up programme, 1 Irishman in Cyprus. His shows are scheduled for September 17 at Technopolis 20 in Paphos, September 18 at the Panos Solomonidis Municipal Cultural Centre in Limassol, and September 19 at the Pantheon Theatre in Nicosia. According to the publication, Kidd has performed in more than 30 countries, while his Edinburgh Fringe shows sold out for three consecutive years.

Festival in Limassol
California comedian Rahman Blake will hold two Comedy Experience performances: on September 22 at Sarah’s Jazz & Blues Club in Nicosia and on September 24 at Ravens Music Hall in Limassol.
The 4th StantarKomety International Comedy Festival will run in Limassol from September 30 to October 4. The programme includes more than 45 local and international comedians, six venues, and performances in English, Greek, Russian, and Serbo-Croatian. The festival will include open-mic nights, compilation shows, solo performances and interactive shows.
