Okhlobystin has once again spoken about the “capture” of Kyiv and Odesa
Russian actor and propagandist Ivan Okhlobystin claimed that Russia is supposed to “liberate” Kyiv and Odesa by 2030. He explained his remarks with a fabricated “analysis of prophecies,” but provided no evidence or real basis for such claims.
Okhlobystin also claimed that “triumph” awaits Russia in 2040. His remarks have already drawn ridicule for being out of touch with reality.
Russian propagandist Ivan Okhlobystin claimed that Russia allegedly plans to capture the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv and Odesa by 2030. In the recording, Okhlobystin first says that he does not like prophecies because, in his words, knowing the future in advance is “uninteresting.” However, he then claims to have analyzed various “predictions” and drawn his own conclusions from them. “I don’t like prophecies. It’s boring. Knowing everything in advance isn’t interesting. The filmmaker in me is protesting. But I’ve analyzed the material, and here’s the bare essence of all the prophecies,” he said.
After that, the propagandist began describing a scenario for Russia’s future that he had invented. According to Okhlobystin, by 2030, Russia is supposed to “liberate Novorossiya,” a term he has illegally applied to Ukrainian territories, including Kyiv and Odesa. “By 2030, we will supposedly ‘liberate Novorossiya,’ including Kyiv and Odesa. In 2040, triumph awaits us,” he declared.
At the same time, Okhlobystin provided no explanations, facts, or evidence to support his claims. He merely added that “time will tell” whether these so-called prophecies will come true. The authors at NEXTA Live reacted ironically to the Russian propagandist’s statements. On their Telegram channel, they noted that Russia now plans to capture Ukrainian cities not “in three days,” but by 2030. They also sarcastically asked what exactly Okhlobystin considers Russia’s future “triumph.”

He is known for his active support of the Kremlin’s policies and his anti-Ukrainian statements. Since the start of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, Okhlobystin has repeatedly endorsed the occupation of Ukrainian territories, spoken out in support of the illegal “DPR” and “LPR” groups, and spread propaganda.
