New photos from the Eurovision contestants' rehearsals have been released
The organizers of the music contest have released photos from the rehearsals on May 3, giving viewers a first glimpse of the performances in the first Eurovision semi-final.
The rehearsals were mentioned on the contest’s official Instagram account.
New photos from the first rehearsals of the first semifinalists in Vienna have been posted on the official Eurovision page.
The first rehearsals last 30 minutes and are closed to the press, so all information comes from a special Reddit thread on the official Eurovision page.
During these rehearsals, the performers come out in their full costumes and attempt to perform their acts for the first time. After the run-through, each delegation heads to the viewing room to watch a recording of the rehearsal. Here, they discuss any changes regarding visual effects, camera work, choreography, and so on. After that, there is a 20-minute makeup consultation, which is the final stage of the rehearsals.
Within 24 hours after each rehearsal, the first photos will be posted on Eurovision’s social media, giving viewers a first glimpse of each participant’s performance.
Earlier, it was announced who would be commentating on “Eurovision 2026” for Ukrainian viewers alongside the show’s longtime host, Timur Miroshnychenko.
The organizers of Eurovision 2026 have announced the running order for the semifinals. Ukrainian singer Leleka will take the stage as the 12th performer in the second semifinal. It will take place on May 14 in Vienna.
