A well-known blogger was shot in Colombia after leaving the gym
In Colombia, unknown assailants shot and killed 27-year-old influencer Angie Marcelu Ramírez Vargas. The young woman was attacked right in her car after she left the gym.
The popular blogger sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died on the way to the hospital. Police have already arrested one of the suspects and are continuing to search for the second assailant.
27-year-old Angie Marcela Ramírez Vargas died after a brutal attack in the city of Pitalito, Colombia. The incident occurred on the evening of July 24 near the Gran Plaza San Antonio shopping center. According to law enforcement, the woman was driving her Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and had stopped at a traffic light. At that moment, two men on a motorcycle pulled up alongside the car and opened fire.
The attackers shot the influencer several times at close range before fleeing the scene. Despite her injuries, Angie managed to drive another 100 meters or so. She was taken to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save her—she died a few minutes later from her injuries.
Police detained one of the attackers
After the attack, law enforcement quickly cordoned off the area and began searching for those involved. During the operation, police found a motorcycle and a weapon that, according to preliminary reports, may have been used in the murder.
One of the suspects—a 48-year-old man—was apprehended after a chase. According to the police, he was found while trying to hide. “Thanks to the immediate response of our officers, we were able to apprehend the 48-year-old man after an extensive chase,” said Police Chief Colonel Javier Alberto. The second assailant managed to escape. Law enforcement is currently continuing the search for him and investigating the possible motive for the crime.

Angie Marcela Ramírez Vargas was well-known on social media. She posted photos from her travels, family gatherings, and everyday life. Her friends said she often shared her plans, dreams, and important moments with her followers. Investigators are currently working to determine all the circumstances of the attack and are looking into who might be behind the murder of the young influencer, according to the Daily Star.
