Ukrainian singer Pavlo Zibrov will be one of the voices in the new story expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl—*The Price of Hope*.

Zibrov will voice the Arena—a location where stalkers compete in battles for survival. Additionally, his song “School Waltz” will play on the in-game radio right in the middle of the Zone.

The “Price of Hope” expansion and the massive free 2.0 update, “Return to the Zone,” will be released on August 20.

The developers have significantly updated the game’s visuals: they’ve reworked the lighting, shadows, and reflections; improved the appearance of buildings and dungeons; and updated the landscape and vegetation.

Changes have also been made to the A-Life system. There will be more places in the Zone where you can encounter people and mutants, and NPCs will interact with each other more often and fight over key locations.

The game will also feature three types of binoculars, new weapons—including the Arev assault rifle, the GP3A and SKP sniper rifles, and the “Fora-230” submachine gun. The developers have added new optics options and the ability to aim with offset without equipping a PNB.

In addition to Zibrov, the expansion will feature tracks by Monokate and the Kalush Orchestra. Monokate will also appear in the game as a radio host.

As a reminder, Disney is preparing a soft reboot of the iconic “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise — Johnny Depp is returning to the project as Jack Sparrow, along with Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, who will play Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. An official announcement is expected as early as August at the Disney D23 Expo.
