Five Ukrainian producers have become members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has invited five Ukrainian film producers to join the organization, whose members vote for the Oscar winners.
The new members of the Academy are Natalia Libet, Olga Bergman, Oleg Kokhan, Igor Savichenko, and Volodymyr Yatsenko.
Olga Bergman and Natalia Libet are co-founders of 2Brave Productions and are known for their work on the films *Stop-Earth* and *The Time Ribbon*. Oleg Kokhan is the founder of SOTA Cinema Group, who has collaborated with Kira Muratova and Krzysztof Zanussi and produced films that have been featured at international film festivals.
Ihor Savichenko has worked on the films *The Guide*, *When the Trees Fall*, and *Brothers: The Last Confession*, while Volodymyr Yatsenko is the producer of the films *My Thoughts Are Silent* and *You Are the Cosmos*.
In total, 529 new members were invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences this year; they are selected based on recommendations from professional guilds and approved by the board of directors.
