The Rada has lifted the ban on construction of the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity

The Rada has lifted the ban on construction of the Museum of the Revolution of Dignity

The Verkhovna Rada has passed Bill No. 14166, which allows for the resumption of the design and construction of the Museum of the Heavenly Hundred and the Revolution of Dignity in Kyiv.

This was announced during a parliamentary session.

The document provides for amendments to legislation that remove restrictions on the construction of the facility at 3 Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred Street.

Specifically, the law repeals a number of restrictions established by laws on urban planning, highways, and cultural heritage protection—exclusively for this project.

It is expected that this will allow the seizure of the land plot to be lifted and the land to be transferred to the National Memorial Complex of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred for the further construction of the museum.

At the same time, it is noted that the changes will not affect general urban planning regulations.

It was previously reported that the cost of designing the museum is approximately 49.4 million UAH, and the 2022 budget allocated over 375 million UAH for the restoration and preservation of national memory, specifically for this project.

As a result of a massive nighttime attack by Russian troops on April 16, the Art Museum building in Dnipro sustained damage.

The Research Collection of Defense Technologies in Koblenz, Germany—one of Europe’s largest military-technical exhibitions—has imposed strict restrictions on visits.
