Space.com has compiled a list of six space-themed board games. The publication links them to the atmosphere of the alternate-history series *For All Mankind*, in which the space rivalry between the U.S. and Russia continues, as well as to its spin-off, *Star City*.

The list includes Twilight Struggle by Ananda Gupta and Trevor DeVries, released in 2005. This two-player game for ages 13 and up is dedicated to the confrontation between the U.S. and Russia during the five decades of the Cold War. It features a space race track where satellite launches and astronaut flights carry both technological and propaganda significance.

*Twilight Imperium*, released in 2017, is designed for three to six players, and with expansions, up to eight. Players lead interstellar empires following the fall of the ancient Lazax Empire, building spaceyards and ships, trading, and waging war. The game features 17 asymmetric factions, and laws and elections can shift the balance of power.

Space.com also recommends *High Frontier: 4th Edition* by Phil Eklund, an aerospace engineer and rocketry expert. This 2019 game for one to five players lets you lead a space agency or a private aerospace company and build a self-sustaining space economy. Its mechanics involve simulating orbital dynamics and resource constraints.

In *SpaceCorp: 2025–2300 AD*, released in 2018, players start in low Earth orbit and gradually advance into deep space, balancing risk with profit. The game is designed for one to five players. Jacob Fruxelius’s *Terraforming Mars*, released in 2016, is also designed for one to five players and challenges players to transform Mars into a habitable environment by developing productive and profitable projects.

The sixth game is Eclipse: Second Dawn for the Galaxy by Tuko Tahkakallio, released in 2020. It is a 4X strategy game—exploration, expansion, exploitation, and extermination. Two to six players earn victory points by controlling star systems, building structures, discovering artifacts, and researching scientific innovations, according to Space.com.
