Saudi Film Commission participates in TIFF in Canada
The Saudi Film Commission is participating in the 51st Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), taking place in Toronto, Canada, from September 10 to 20, 2026. Asharq Al-Awsat reports, citing the Saudi Press Agency.

As part of its participation, the commission will have a dedicated Saudi pavilion and an official delegation. Representatives of Film AlUla, the Red Sea International Film Festival, and the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) have joined it.
The pavilion is intended to showcase the commission's work in developing the film industry, as well as filming locations in Saudi Arabia. The commission seeks to attract filmmakers and international production companies, as well as familiarize industry representatives with the kingdom's incentive programs and production ecosystem.

According to the publication, participation in the festival is expected to promote the development of international partnerships and opportunities for cooperation in the film sector. The Saudi Film Commission also plans to strengthen engagement with international media and film organizations.
TIFF was founded in Toronto in 1976. The festival has been described as one of the world's leading film forums and an important platform for presenting films ahead of awards season. As part of the 51st festival, the TIFF Film Market is scheduled to run from September 10 to 16 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
