Singer LELÉKA has begun seeking sponsors for her performance at Eurovision 2026
Ukraine’s representative at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, singer LELÉKA, admitted that the active phase of preparations for the show has not yet begun.
Currently, the artist and her team are focused on financial planning and determining the amount of investment needed to ensure a worthy representation of the country.
According to the singer, preparations at this stage are proceeding mainly thanks to the enthusiasm of her colleagues, as there are currently no actual funds in the project’s accounts.
The team is only putting together a general budget and gathering creative ideas for the performance with which the artist will take the international stage.
“As of today, I can say there are no expenses. We don’t have anything to spend yet. We’re putting together a budget and gathering all the ideas. Everyone is currently working on a volunteer basis and hopes their work will be compensated,” the singer noted in an interview for the “Alone with Glamour” project.
The artist candidly shared her impressions of the actual cost of participating in a competition of this scale, which turned out to be significantly higher than her initial expectations.
LELÉKA emphasized that securing funding is a complex process that falls directly on the performer’s shoulders.
The artist plans to attract patrons and sponsors to avoid the debt obligations that often follow participants after the competition ends.
She noted that experience from previous years shows how difficult it is for artists to pay off loans for large-scale productions.
“We are going to start looking for sponsors in the near future. The sums are enormous. Everything at Eurovision costs a lot. I couldn’t imagine that the amounts would be this high and that we’d have to find them on our own,” emphasized Ukraine’s representative.
She added that this risk “adds excitement,” but at the same time requires the most responsible approach.
As a reminder, it has been announced who will represent the Czech Republic, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, and San Marino at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.
Serbia is also sending the male band Lavina to Eurovision 2026.
