Mexico set a world record by making 6.8 tons of guacamole

In the Mexican city of Tancitaro, known as the “avocado capital of the world,” a world record was set by preparing the largest serving of guacamole.

This was reported in the Guinness World Records.

During the annual Avocado Festival, volunteers prepared 6,800.5 kilograms of the traditional Mexican sauce, equivalent to nearly 15,000 pounds.

Eight hundred chefs participated in setting the record, working outdoors for two and a half hours, as guacamole quickly turns brown when exposed to air.

Guinness World Records representative Susana Reyes noted that this record showcases Mexican cultural identity and culinary traditions.

After the dish was finished, it was officially weighed, and the new world record was confirmed.

The Avocado Festival in Tancitaro is one of the region’s key events, attracting thousands of tourists each year and contributing to the development of the local economy.

Two sailboats from the Nuestra America Convoy, an international humanitarian convoy that went missing while transporting aid from Mexico to Cuba, were found by the Mexican Navy.

The elimination of Mexico’s most wanted criminal, the leader of the New Generation of Jalisco Cartel (CJNG) nicknamed “El Mencho,” was accompanied by an unprecedented cyberattack.
